We are a team of experienced Biomechanics specialists, led by Dean Glozier with over 23 years of experience in the prevention and treatment of pain and injury. We utilise an integrated approach by identifying the weakest link, evaluating the whole picture, not just the presenting symptoms - restoring balance and functional pain free movement. We treat walkers, runners, athletes, skiers and snowboarders. The very young to the very old and everyone inbetween.
We look closely at joint mobility, muscle imbalances, movement patterns, posture and compensations. We begin with Force pressure plate analysis to determine foot pressures and weight distribution in both static stance and walking. We follow with an in depth Biomechanical Assessment and 3D movement, functional neurological screening and Slow motion video gait analysis. Once the cause is established, the weak links in the chain can then be improved to allow for optimum pain free movement. We aim to devise a personalised plan to get you back on track ASAP.
We utilise soft tissue release, joint manipulation and mobilisation when needed. We recalibrate the nervous system, rebalancing and activating muscles which have been mis-firing or ‘switched off’ or overcompensating. We sometimes use foot orthotics to improve foot function and utilise a state of the art 3D laser scanner to produce lightweight, flexible and minimal prescription orthotics. We provide an exercise program specific to your needs incorporating the latest scientific insights into human movement, strength and conditioning. At The Biomechanics Centre, we work closely as a team, and with 23 years in the industry, we provide a service second to none.
