I am a 62 year old male who was suffering quite severe pain in my knees and feet as a result of arthritis and general wear and tear from running and other sports activities. Stairs and walking were becoming a real problem and I had always been active. My GP told me it was "all about pain management" and prescribed 8 paracetemol per day. I would not accept that diagnosis and booked in with Dean for gait analysis. He almost immediately identified that the kind of running shoes I had been wearing (for decades) were wrong for me. From the gait analysis / pressure pad test, he advised inserts and correct shoe type. I also had painful plantar fasciitis in my right foot and Dean strapped this and advised on exercises for flexibility. He suggested taking apple cider vinegar in solution as a natural anti-inflammatory (instead of the paracetemol). I followed Dean's advice and 6 weeks on I am pain free and active again. I am taking the apple cider vinegar every day and cannot believe what a difference it has made. Truly amazing and I'm telling everyone to take it. Dean has a remarkable knowledge of how the body works and natural remedies. I was a bit of a cynic, but this guy knows his stuff. If you suffer sports injury he is your man. Arthritis likewise. Absolutely worth every penny. Big thank you to Dean and all the friendly staff at Westoe Practice.
This practice is fantastic. Dean was able to diagnose and treat my condition quickly and easily when several others, including the NHS could not. After a year of being unable to run within a week I was back to full fitness and a month or so later achieving new personal best running times. Professional, knowledgeable, friendly and cost effective. Don't waste your time going anywhere else!
I have participated in sports and physical fitness for over four decades. During this time I have received treatment from practitioners in the UK and the USA for an assortment of injuries. Since meeting Dean Glozier in 2008, he has been the one person with whom I trust to meet my podiatry and bio-mechanical needs. Dean is a wonderfully gifted therapist who has helped me attain terrific results with my injuries and bio-mechanical challenges. Dean is one of those rare practitioners who has an intuitive sense of how the body works. Coupled with his thorough and methodical screening system, he is able to direct the appropriate course of treatment. I cannot overstate how important it is for me to understand what and why a particular treatment is being used. Dean is a master educator who makes every step of the process easy to understand. I should say that I am a complicated case; Dean has been tremendously patient and persistent at untangling my years of poor body mechanics and setting me on a path to success. I greatly value Dean's skills and knowledge on both a personal and professional level. Dean and the entire Westoe Practice Team have been phenomenal! Dean glozier is fantastic he helped me when the doctors couldn't I hope he can again!! Staff are so friendly and welcoming highly recommend to anyone!!
Having been to three Podiatrists with chronic Plantar Fasciiti, I was advised to see Dean at The Westoe Practice. Dean made me some Orthotics, but unlike other Podiatrists he used muscle testing to see the affect the prescription had on my body. Well the results have been remarkable and I can honestly say I would recommend Dean to anyone.
As a sports coach I am very careful about who I recommend when any of my runners get injured. That's why I only ever send them to Dean at The Biomechanics clinic and he always gets them back on track.
I attend Dean's practice in South Shields regularly, as do all of my family. He really has a great team of therapists there and they have a fantastic reputation for the wonderful work they do. I used to take painkillers so I could run having suffered with on going knee problems. Not any more! Thank you Dean.
