Bowen and Emmett Technique
At The Biomechanics Centre The Emmett Technique and Bowen Therapy are often our first choice of treatments when intervention is needed to rebalance the body.
If you think of your body like a circuit board you can perhaps begin to understand the complexity of the human nervous system and how every part is interconnected. These therapies provide a means of interacting with the tissues in an unique way, likened to pressing ‘reset' and allowing the body to resume the natural healing process, re-organising itself and releasing muscle and fascial dysfunction via the natural activation of various neural reflexes.
Techniques administered effectively recalibrate the nervous system, rebalancing and activating muscles which have been mis-firing or ‘switched off’ or overcompensating.
By alerting the body's innate healing mechanism, the resultant effect is a rapid elimination or reduction of symptoms, followed by an increase in energy and an unmistakable sense of wellbeing.
Bowen and Emmett Technique uses a combination of direct pressure and cross fibre moves over soft tissues to release and reset specific muscle groups and allow the body to return to a state of balance. The results are often dramatic, and can be instantaneous, with most clients recognising the improvements in pain levels and range of movement before leaving the clinic.
